William IV style flame mahogany table & chairs

Beautiful and very characterful mahogany circular dining table with six coordinating carved dining chairs, with lovely William IV / Neoclassical styling. The 54” (137 cm) diameter table has a particularly striking figured/flame mahogany top with a beautiful radiating grain, set on a substantial central pedestal with carved detailing and scrolling feet. The table has been professionally restored and has a gorgeous rich finish. Since restoration it has been kept covered and protected from direct sunlight, so there is no sun fading. There is one small mark to the surface, which is shown in the photographs, but otherwise it is in very good condition. The six mahogany dining chairs have elegant shaped open backs with carved detailing and turned front legs. All six seats were professionally reupholstered approximately two years ago and have barely been sat on since, so the upholstery remains in fantastic condition. There is evidence of historic woodworm to the chairs, which has been fully treated. One chair also has a small loose section to the arm/side detail which would benefit from a minor repair; this does not affect the seat. There are no maker’s marks that I can see. A really beautiful and unusual set with wonderful colour and character. The circular table is a fantastic size for six and makes a lovely centrepiece in a dining room or kitchen.
