Spendor BC11a Speakers (c.1976) – Upgraded Crossovers – Rare Vintage Studio Monitors A rare opportunity to acquire a pair of classic British studio monitors – Spendor BC11a, dating from circa 1976. Derived from the legendary Spendor BC1, the BC11a was developed as an early active loudspeaker system, widely used in professional broadcast environments. Key Features: • Original built-in M50 amplifiers (included) • Upgraded Russ Andrews crossovers, XLRs converted to banana plugs, and fresh foam throughout – a welcome and practical update • Finished with vintage speaker cloth, in keeping with the original aesthetic • Renowned Spendor midrange – natural, detailed and highly musical • Studio-grade accuracy and presentation Provenance: Originally from RTÉ radio studios, later acquired from a musician.
