Description
Vintage 80s Hifi System in fully functional condition. Units Included. Amplifier - Waltham W159 Tape Deck - Waltham W157 Tuner - Waltham W158 Turntable - Waltham W156 Speakers - Wharfedale Denton GX Stereo integrated amplifier with high/low filters, mono & loudness functions and connections for two sets of speakers. All rotary controllers have been cleaned to ensure quiet, trouble free operation. Information on these units is scarce, but I'd estimate that the output is somewhere between 30- 40 watts per channel. Single cassette deck with tape type selector and dolby noise reduction. New drive belt has been fitted, heads and rollers have been cleaned. Maintains correct speed and sound quality is quite good. MW/LW/FM Stereo Tuner with back-lit display and signal strength meter. Draws in stations with ease with only a small wire antenna. 3 speed stereo turntable. Lid and hinges all intact and undamaged. Deck has been fitted with a brand new Audio Technica AT3600L cartridge & stylus. This is a far more easily sourced and replaced part than the original obsolete part. 40 Watt Wharfedale 2 way speakers with original grilles and good quality heavy cabinets. These are a decent upgrade to the system's original speakers, and tie nicely with it's aesthetic. Sound quality is excellent. All interconnecting cables included. Any test welcome. Thanks for looking.
