An elegant original period cast-iron freestanding bath, approximately 6ft (183cm) long, with a wonderfully graceful shape, rolled rim, ornate ball-and-claw style feet and traditional period tap fittings. Its long, gently curved profile and generous proportions give it a more refined appearance than many of the heavier, more utilitarian vintage baths commonly encountered. The bath comes from a period house in Dublin’s historic Georgian Quarter, where it formed part of the property’s traditional bathroom fittings. The generous 6ft length, deep bathing area and elegant proportions make this an impressive statement bath for the right setting. It could be retained with its existing aged character or would make an excellent candidate for professional restoration, exterior refinishing and/or re-enamelling to create a truly spectacular bathroom centrepiece. The existing taps and plumbing fittings are included as photographed.
