Antique French Bed Frame – Original Carved Wood

Beautiful antique French bed frame with original carved wooden surround. This is a genuine vintage piece, purchased around 20–25 years ago from a then reputable antique dealer in Dublin (original dealer sticker still present on the frame). The fabric panels are original and very pretty, but are clearly worn and damaged and would need to be replaced. Because of this, the bed is best suited as a reupholstery or restoration project. The true value here is the ornate antique frame, craftsmanship, and character of the piece. There is evidence of historic woodworm, which was treated many years ago (approx. 30 years) and has been completely inactive for as long as we’ve owned it. The bed was bought in this condition from the antique dealer and has been stable ever since.
