Description For sale, this beautiful example of the Habitat Radius EU kingsize bed frame. The bed frame is made from solid oak and oak veneer and is very heavy, sturdy and well built - designed for Habitat by world famous designer Simon Pengelly. *** This is an original Habitat bed, designed by Simon pengelly, built to last. It is NOT the current cheapo version that's now available on the UK Argos & Habitat websites *** It is in excellent condition with barely a mark nor any other imperfections to be seen throughout, the bed looks absolutely stunning. It is already dismantled and ready to go and easy to build in a matter of minutes - the instructions are available online on the Habitat website. The Radius bed was crafted from resilient Balkan oak, worked by skilled hands in factories across Croatia and Slovenia. It carries the range's signature offset-shoulder joint (see photos)— strong enough, thanks to its generous gluing area, to need no extra bracing, yet simple to assemble without ever looking flat-pack. Its finish is deliberately understated: a waterborne, UV-stabilised lacquer that resists yellowing or fading. Designed to be a quiet, functional backdrop rather than a statement piece, the Radius bed sits comfortably alongside anything from antiques to contemporary furniture. It was never built around a passing trend, which is exactly why, twenty years on, it still feels as relevant as the day it launched. Clearance from bed base to floor: 22.8cm NOTE: This bed frame fits a Euro King mattress (160x200), widely available online, although you can of course also use a Standard King (150 cm wide) mattress with a tiny gap on either side.
