The bottom is made up of 2 large drawers. The unit sits on 4 independently adjustable feet, so it will always be level, regardless of the floor. The chest of drawers is made up of 7 drawers, 6 shallow and 1 deep drawer. The double door unit on top of the drawers, is not attached and can be removed or could be screwed onto the top of the chest of drawers to keep it in place.
