Here at Dolmen Agri we are suppliers of Cattle and Sheep feeds, minerals, Himalayan Rock Salt, Milk Replacer etc. We established this business because of an over all frustration with the quality of animal feed available on the market. We run Leana Limousins a pedigree herd and no mater what we fed we weren't achieving good enough growth and weight gains. We researched and completed educational courses and kept pushing until we found answers. The answer is quite simple, quality of ingredients and mineral packs. We sourced a feed specially designed in Northern Ireland without any fillers or rubbish ingredients like palm kernel, wheat pollard, wheat feed etc. When we started using this at the same feed rates we were getting better weight gains and better colour in the coats of the cattle. The bulls developed better in key areas like scrotal circumference and laying down lean muscle. Any cattle finished on the farm turned inside out on the Econ Beef which is one of our top sellers and we have achieved some of the best carcass weights and prices in the country as a result. This quickly turned into a business and it has been growing ever since. So here are a few key points: No fillers or cheap ingredients in our feed. Unmatched mineral packs. Our advice is look at what you are feeding, check composition on the back of the bag. Don't be fooled by barley and maize at the start (which are super ingredients) and then followed by rubbish which puts weight in the bag at very low cost to the mill, dilutes the good ingredients and then can be charged for at huge profit margins.
