African Grey Parrot for Sale – 12 Years Old male. A beautiful 12-year-old African Grey parrot is available to a suitable home. He is a confident, intelligent bird with a strong personality and would do best with an experienced owner or breeder who understands African Grey behavior. He is semi-tamed and does well with males, including male children, and is not aggressive toward them. He is also okay with cats and coexists well with other birds in the household. However, he is not comfortable with females and may attempt to bite girls or women, so caution is required. Because of this behavior, he is not recommended as a family pet for households with females only and is best suited for breeding or for a male owner household with bird experience. His cage is kept open during day and he enjoys the freedom to go in and out as he pleases. He is active, alert, and confident in his environment. He has been well cared for and is familiar with daily household activity. Like most African Greys, he is very intelligent and has an impressive vocabulary, knowing many words and phrases. He enjoys interacting vocally and observing what goes on around him. This bird is not aggressive by nature but does require understanding and respect of his boundaries.
