The Moonraker, built in Norfolk England in GRP, with hull designed by Robert Tucker complemented by the brilliant Colin Chapman, she became an excellent and highly regarded off- shore motor cruiser equally at home at sea or on the river. Andromeda shows the classic lines of such a well designed vessel. Accommodation. The rear cabin has a double bed measuring 6ft by 4ft 6in plus a single measuring 6ft by 2ft 6in with 6ft headroom. At the bough, a V berth with infill to make a double if you prefer. The dinette converts to a further double measuring 6ft by 4ft if required, and the couch a narrow single. The main cabin has 6ft headroom. With a diesel heater keeping both the forward and rear cabins cosy all year and good storage throughout, she would also make a fine live-aboard. TV and radio provide entertainment when you retire for the evening or keep the children amused when you are very busy socialising. The “heads” have an excellent shower with hot water “on demand.” The galley has the normal facilities plus an excellent small fridge. A cocktail cabinet is a hidden bonus. In the cockpit, navigation is assisted by a Raymarine multi function navigator with fish finder, a Navman Marine Radio, depth sounder and radio compass, all in excellent working order. Power is provided by twin Perkins P6.354 diesel engines on shafts. She has stood the test of time well.
