FOR SALE Alerion, previously Alerion of Adur, and before that Alerion of Arne, is a Trapper 950, a 31' racer/cruiser, rare big sister to the well known Trapper 500. "Mould tools for this were taken from a Rollercoaster, a Rob Humphreys design which was placed second in the 1979 half tonne worlds. It was initially named the Trapper 31 but subsequently named the Trapper 950. Unlike most half ton yachts of the day it was not designed specifically under the racing rule and proved to have good accommodation and was successfully raced at home and abroad." Alerion has been a liveaboard for the last 6 years, with bi-annual engine service and hull maintenance. Sailed from Scotland to the Port of Waterford in 2019. New engine mounts and new mahogany tiller. Original working engine - Yanmar YSM12 (comes with manual). Comes with sails, a new dinghy (used once), swim ladder, multiple anchors, fire extinguishers & blanket, battery, water tank (in box), bilge pump (in box). The boat itself is in good condition. It does needs some work (running rigging, electrics). Interior has been stripped and then re insulated in 2020. New foam and upholstered cushions throughout. Reason for sale: Trading up!
