Aurelia is a well-known series manufactured Formosa 41 yacht suitable for liveaboard and blue water cruising. Featured in classic yacht magazines, it has a heavily build glass fiber hull (20mm) and extensive us of fine teak in both the exterior and exterior. It has a high comfort ratio as a blue water cruiser given its 8 tons of ballast and full slab keel. This boat was stored for some 12 years under shed and coverage and refurbished for a round the world cruise but personal circumstances dictated otherwise. The vessel has been professionally refurbished including new steam teak deck, engine, replumb, re-rig, mast rebuild, etc to name but a few. The boat has cruised in North Africa, Spain, Portugal, UK, IE, USA and Carribean. She has been sailed single handed and is manageable under reduced sail of genoa and mizzen only often reaching hull speed. It was used as a live aboard in Gibraltar. It will also accommodate 6-8 with stainless water tanks of 100 gallons, it is hurricane rated and considered a very safe small schooner. Unfortunately, the buyer last year, was unable to complete the funding. Currently laying in midlands, it has also sailed successfully on the Shannon particularly Lough Derg via Ardnacrusha.
