Dutch Barge

An opportunity to own a unique and cosy mini Tjalk! Sidhe Breeze is a circa 1930 mini Dutch Tjalk, 31.6 feet in length, with a beam of 8.2 feet, and a draft of 2.4 feet. There is a fixed small double bed in the bow which gets real toasty when the stove is on in winter. The dinette also converts into an extra small double bed. The kitchen has a small fridge, and a domestic 3 ring gas hob. Roof mounted solar panels provide 12v power via 2 x Victron MPPT charge controllers. There is a Weaco Perfect Charge inverter that charges the 3 110ah batteries via shore hookup (currently not installed) to provide 230v power. The toilet is fitted with a Jabsco manual pump out toilet. There is no shower on-board however, the modest toilet space could be converted into a wet room. Heating is via Buderus-Juno kerosene stove fed by a tank in the bow. Lots of work carried out on this barge in recent months including insulation of the bow, repainted interior, and addition of bespoke rope handles to cabinets. Mechanical works have also been carried out recently to ensure engine longevity for a barge of its age such as: - all 4 injectors have recently been reconditioned - new glow plugs - new rocket cover and gasket - new fuel tank and fuel delivery system - new ignition and glow plug warm up button - oil changed - new oil filter - new impeller - stern gland packed Sidhe Breeze is well serviced, running smoothly and starts at the first turn of the key!
