Yard trailer built for a Beneteau Oceanis 331 lift keel (3’ draught and 5 ton displacement). Subsequently held a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 lift keel for 5 winters (3’ 1” draught and 6½ ton displacement).
9 adjustable acro bars in total – 4 along each side and 1 for under the bow.
Would certainly hold a fin keel yacht with 4’ 6” draught (perhaps 5’ draught) without any modification at all. It would require very little work for acro bars to be re-positioned and for trailer to take a deeper draught boat up to 35’ or 36’, with displacement of up to 6½ ton approx.
Trailer was designed to take boat with transom above the tow eye on draw-bar of trailer. This way, the trailer can be rolled down a slipway, with bow of boat entering water first. Large 6” nylon roller under draw-bar to facilitate rolling on smooth concrete.
I have launched both the Oceanis 331 and the Sun Odyssey 35 this way – taking less than fifteen minutes to get from boat park to being tied up on mooring. No waiting around for the tide!!!
Trailer is located in Rush, North Co. Dublin.
