Berth available for the coming season.* This is a very good example of a Maxi Fenix 8.5 (28 foot) - built in Sweeden in 1988, refitted just two years ago (2024). The Fenix 28 was a very popular boat due to its "built to last" design and the build quality that Maix became famous for. This specific boat is a proven coastal cruiser having joined us on cruises from Carlingford to the Isle of Man and further. She has a good, safe cockpit with a low floor, solid guard rails on the pushpit, and stainless steel wire railing all the way around - perfect for young families with kids, or for people sailing on their own. The cockpit is made very comfortable with cushions either side. The boat comes with a new spray hood (2023) providing protection from sea spray in rough weather. All lines come aft enabling all sail trimming to be done from the safety of the cockpit. Very well designed. Perfect for cruising. Down below; the saloon opens up in front of you with great space and great light inside. There are many ways to arrange the berths (bunks) inside this boat - and it's current arrangement is probably the most luxurious. The galley takes up most of the port midship, making it incredibly spacious while still leaving ample room for the chart table on that side. On the starboard side, straight across from the galley, is your saloon table with comfortable seating for four adults (or 2 adults + 3 kids). Spacious V Berth up foward, and wall to wall berth in aft cabin. She has a new suit of sails with Mainsail, Lazy Jacks, Genoa and Roller Reefing all replaced in 2023 /24.
