Ribcraft 585 RIB with 115hp Yamaha four stroke outboard. An extremely safe, seaworthy boat that’s described by the makers as: “The most relied on boat in the RIBCRAFT model line for government agencies, yacht clubs, and private industry. It provides unmatched performance for a boat of its size. Quick to plane and sure footed through tight turns and in rough seas, the boat’s aggressive deep V hull, high swept bow, and full-length lifting strakes delivers superior handling.” This boat dates from about 2005 and we’ve had her for 10 years. She planes at under 15 knots, is entirely safe and comfortable even in big seas, and the hull design means she throws off spray so passengers stay dry. She has the wear that should be expected in a 2005 boat. The gelcoat has staining and there are a few minor chips in the hull but it’s completely sound and does everything it’s supposed to do. The 3-chamber tubes have small patches on three pinholes, but are totally sound and leak free.
