I'm looking to buy a well-maintained 24–27ft liveaboard cruiser for cruising the River Shannon. Must have: Single diesel inboard engine in good running order. Sound hull with no known structural issues. 4-berth accommodation. Toilet and shower. Full canopy/enclosure. Ready to cruise – not looking for a major restoration project. Preferred extras: Solar panels. Shore power and battery charger. Hot water. Cabin heating. Galley with cooker and sink. Fridge. Service history. Recent survey. Mooring available if transferable. I'm open to most makes and models, including Viking, Broom, Freeman, Birchwood, Shetland, Caribbean, Aquafibre, Seamaster, Princess, Fairline, and similar river cruisers. Budget: €6,000–€10,000 for the right boat. As this will be my first boat, I'd like any purchase to be subject to a satisfactory independent pre-purchase survey and sea trial.
