Irish Fute

Flute for sale. Readvertised Price €900. Simple system Irish flute, Key D. There are 5 keys. The flute was made by Dessie Seery using a material he called Delrin. It is practically indistinguishable from the common wooden flute in both appearance and sound but Delrin is not known to crack or warp which can be a problem with wooden flutes. The keys look like silver but it is not known whether they are solid silver. Dessie did say that because they are silver, if they take a knock they can simply be bent back to original shape by hand (taking care not to strain the pivot pins etc). This is a good instrument which should easily last a lifetime. Available in Dublin 7 area. Reason for sale is that I changed to the classical boehm system flute and no longer have any use for an Irish style flute.
