This is a Howarth S20 non-thumbplate oboe from 1983. It has been very lightly used since then. I bought it from Mark Baignent the oboeist and luthier in Liverpool. Mark serviced the oboe just before I bought it. It comes with a Howarth case and strap. If you or your child is interested in learning the oboe, this is the one you want.
