Description
Re-purposed for traditional Irish music, this antique baroque French 19th century flute if typical of its time. 19th-century French flutes were characterized by a "simple system" design, featuring thin-walled, conical wooden bodies with small finger holes, renowned for a sweet, agile, and light tone. Made from rosewood, the flute is light and comfortable in the hand , but surprisingly loud. An enjoyable flute to play. The 4 keys have been plugged , Fine tuning is achieved by adjusting the head on the tenon of the body. A=440Hz . This flute has no case, but a replacement case can be provided. Visitors are welcome to try the flute, which is part of my Flute collection.
