Steffen is considered one of the top makers in Irish Traditional Flute circles and this flute plays as good as any other keyless flute from the top makers. In fact, because it’s made of olivewood, it’s lighter than blackwood, cocuswood or mopane, which makes it easier to play. It comes with a solid german oak lined wooden case, a decorated crown and a screw cork to adjust the cork depth. According to the maker, this is the most stunning grain of any olivewood flute that he had made. The pictures really do not do the flute justice. If you were to buy a new olivewood keyless flute from Steffen, not including postage, it would cost €1881 with about 8 months to a year wait.
