WHY I AM POSTING THIS I am posting this to make other car-wash operators aware of my current situation with Crystal Valet Douglas. My agreement has ended, and I have decided that I do not want to continue operating at this location because, financially, it is no longer viable for me. My rent was €1,000 per week, plus €175 per month for online marketing and approximately €500 per month in online booking fees. The rent was then increased to €1,400 per week, without the notice I expected. Two days ago, I was contacted and offered a reduced rent to stay, but I have decided not to continue. Despite contacting the company by email and phone, money has continued to be taken from my account. I have requested that this money be returned, but I have not received a proper response. When I called, I was told that there was nothing they could do. I am sharing this to encourage anyone considering taking over or renting this car-wash site to make sure they fully understand the contract, rent, additional fees and payment arrangements before entering into any agreement. I would also strongly recommend carefully checking any dealership arrangements or other agreements that you are told are included. I have my own equipment and have been working with car dealers and in the car-wash industry for around five years. My equipment and garage setup will be coming with me. I am sharing my experience because I do not want anyone else to enter into an agreement without first checking everything carefully and having a clear understanding of all the costs involved. I have tried contacting the company by phone and email and have kept records of my communications. I am still waiting for a proper response regarding the money that has been taken from my account.
