A Heartbreaking Goodbye: Our Custom-Built Adventure Rig Needs a New Home This isn't an easy ad to write. After countless hours and our life savings, we built our dream off-road motorhome for a family trip across Ireland. We poured our hearts into every detail, but an unfortunate accident has left us unable to continue our journey and heartbroken to have to leave her behind. We're putting her up for sale in the hopes that someone with the right skills and resources can give her a new life and the adventures she deserves. What You're Looking At: This is a one-of-a-kind, custom-built vintage 1990 MAN VW G90 with German registration. It's more than just a truck; it's a testament to adventure and a project full of potential. Unfortunately, the crash severely damaged the living area, making it uninhabitable. Being far from home and without the means to repair it, we've had to make the difficult decision to sell. What Still Works: The good news is that the heart of this beast is as strong as ever. The motor, driveshaft, and chassis are all in great shape and survived the crash without a problem. The truck drives perfectly, and I recently took it for a drive and gave it a wash. Engine: The powerful naturally aspirated 6.8L inline 6-cylinder diesel engine has only 175,000 km on the odometer. Drivetrain: It has permanent all-wheel drive, built to go anywhere on military-grade Michelin XZL 14.00R20 tires. Survivors: Much of the interior equipment is still functional, including the diesel electric heater, water pump and tank, most of the electrical system, the inverter, solar, and the water boiler. What Needs Attention: The right side is thrashed, and the living area is likely no longer watertight. There's also no windshield, damaged wipers, rear crash bar, some lights, and the passenger-side windows. She's located near Killrush.
