Leapmotor B05 priced from €28,998 ahead of Irish launch next month
Leapmotor Ireland has confirmed Irish pricing and specification for the B05, a new electric hatchback due on forecourts next month. The brand is pitching it as set to be one of the best-value EVs in its class.

Two trims will be offered:
- STYLE (entry-level): from €28,998, including the SEAI grant and VRT rebate. 56.2kWh battery, up to 401km WLTP range.
- DESIGN: from €32,984. 67.1kWh battery, up to 485km WLTP range.
The B05 marks Leapmotor's move into the C-segment hatchback market, with the brand framing it as C-segment space and technology at closer to B-segment money. It joins the T03 city car, B10 SUV and C10 family SUV in Leapmotor's Irish line-up under the brand's "Value Without Compromise" positioning.
Both trims get a wide-body, coupe-inspired silhouette, frameless doors, hidden door handles, a blade-style lighting signature, 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof and 21 ADAS safety features. DESIGN adds eco-leather upholstery, ambient lighting, heated front seats and a dedicated Launch Control mode. Shoulder width is 1,880mm and the drag coefficient is 0.26.
Inside, a dual-screen cockpit pairs a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, running Leapmotor's latest Leap OS 4.0 Plus software.
The electric motor produces 218hp and 240Nm of torque, enough for 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds. The B05 is rear-wheel drive with 50:50 weight distribution and MacPherson front/multi-link rear suspension, with the chassis co-developed alongside Stellantis' global engineering team. Both battery sizes support DC fast charging from 30-80% in around 17 minutes via the car's Cell-to-Chassis architecture. A companion app lets owners control climate, schedule charging, check vehicle status and use a digital key remotely.
Stephen McGrath, Brand Manager of Leapmotor Ireland, said the B05 marks "an exhilarating 'next level' for the brand", adding that paired with the T03, B10 and C10, it "supercharges" the brand's value positioning in the segment.
The B05 will be sold through nine Leapmotor retail partners nationwide:

- Bright Navan Road, Navan Road, Dublin 15

The B05 is the latest step in Leapmotor's expansion in Ireland, with further model and dealer announcements expected in the coming months.
