1970 Fiat 500L Fully Restored!

1970 Fiat 500L with the much sought after 126 Cylinder Head upgrade, Vintage Road Tax €56 per year, LHD. Bought in May 2025 as a project car. I have spent a huge amount of time, fun & money restoring it to this beautiful condition. I am selling this car as I have completed this project & ready to move onto my next project car. Member of the Fiat 500 Club of Ireland and attended many runs & car shows. Taxed till 04/27. 3 Irish Owners & came to Ireland on 19/2/2018. This car had a full body respray & Rust-Proofing Treatment to the underneath (see Photos), both done by the previous owner. Being 1970 it is as original with Dynamo Power, Choke Start, No Synchro Gearbox & Shoe Brakes. Works carried out during my ownership (Photos & docs of works available): June 2025: upgraded exterior rear lights & front indicators, Fiat 500L Rear Badge replaced. July 2025: Dynamo, Regulator & Battery all replaced with the help of a retired Fiat Mechanic after a huge amount of diagnosis & work. V-Belt changed & Oil Change. Nov '25 - April '26: Major engine work: Cylinder Head Skim (due to Engine Breather Banjo Bolt blowing), Skim completed by Howards Engineering Glasnevin (this is when is was found to have the sought after 126 Head upgrade), reBuild started in Jan 26 including Cylinder Head Gasket, Upgraded Adjustable Pushrod Covers, Thermostat removed & cleaned, Carb removed & jets cleaned & refitted with new gaskets & washers, exhaust removed & checked for wear with new manifold gaskets fitted. All engine Tinware Painted and Rust-Proofed during rebuild (Thermostat, Rocker Cover, Air Shroud Cover Top & Bottom, Air Filter Cover). Engine breath pipe & Carb to Air Filter Pipes replaced, New Earth Strap Fitted and New Interior Heater Hose fitted. May 2026: Brakes. New Shoes & Slaves Cylinders fitted to both fronts. Rear brakes checked & cleaned, recently replaced. Brake system bled. With the sale I will be including a huge amount of spare parts (see photo). Call to arrange viewing!
