1997 Porsche Boxster 2.5 Manual

*Project* Irish-registered car. Bought 2 yrs ago - however has a coolant issue meaning I have driven it less than 1000kms in that time. 126,000 miles / 203,000 km Part service history Original car with some nice subtle interior upgrades: - Sport seats - Weighted gear knob - GT3 centre console delete - New interior fabrics It is running and driving nicely, however there is an issue with the coolant. It doesn't seem to lose much coolant or overheat, however the coolant expansion tank seems to over-pressurise. I tried a couple of things to resolve this and it could be one of several issues - worst-case scenario being replacing/rebuilding the engine. Note: I have not got a professional diagnosis by a mechanic. The original attraction of this car was that it was soon to be in the €56 tax bracket - it will now be in this bracket in just 5 month's time. It is priced at about half the cost of a similar Irish-registered car with no issues so this should allow enough margin for sourcing a good engine and fitting (if this is what's needed). The 2.5 is a great setup that is not to be discounted, it has a more visceral sound and can be rung out more than later cars while staying within speed limits. Gearing is also great - being an early 5 speed it has a shorter effective final drive ratio making the lower gears feel punchy and responsive. I'm putting it up for sale as I don't see myself having the time to resolve the issue in the near future.
