This handsome early production 2003 Series 2 in Graphite Grey presents extremely well having been fully resprayed in recent years and now fitted with a set of freshly refurbished silver wheels. The spartan interior is as purposeful as it gets and makes every even the most mundane trip feel like an event. The steering, gearchange and brakes are sharp, the chassis is responsive and beautifully balanced, and the 1.8 K-Series engine is surprisingly lively with 86k miles on the clock over its 22 years. The history file shows that a lot of work has been carried out in recent years to keep the Elise looking and working perfectly, too. New timing belt and waterpump, cooling system upgrades, new head gasket, new OEM tryes plus lots of other serviceand maintenance items. The most recent service was carried out by Lotus specialist, Pat McBennett.
