2009 MINI Cooper S R56 3-door

2009 MINI Cooper S (175 BHP) with 165,000 km. The impending arrival of our first child is forcing my hand with this sale. I bought this car almost exactly 12 months ago after it caught my eye in a big way (stunning silver/gold color, very quick, wonderful handling). The plan since then has been to bring it roaring back to full health and make use of it as my weekend car for years to come. All of which has since been done. Having spent a small fortune (see receipts) servicing the car and engine from top to toe, I have now been told by my partner to park the dream of owning a weekend car as we prepare to welcome a new and very expensive addition to our family. The car is truly in tip top condition throughout - engine, gearbox, subframe and interior components all excellent and working exactly as they should. Bodywork shows minor wear (stone chips, etc) but is also generally excellent for it's age. The only job left unticked on my project list is to refurb the alloys, but given it is relatively inexpensive I shall leave this to the next owner. The car was originally ordered new from factory with most of the available options and add-ons: upgraded red leather interior, sun roof, parking sensors, heated seats, cruise-control, full-color trim (the vast majority of Coopers have black plastic side sills and wheel arch trim). Servicing carried out in my ownership (€4k+ with receipts): • Timing chain replaced • Engine head restored and machined • Subframe corrosion repaired • New starter motor fitted • Full service carried out • Engine oil and oil filter replaced • Air filter replaced • Pollen/cabin filter replaced • 4 × new spark plugs • Coolant changed • Brake fluid service carried out • Gearbox oil changed • 4 x new tyres fitted • Air-conditioning wiring repaired • Exhaust flexi repair Car has done only 12,000km since 2022. Full 12 months NCT. A great car that I truly will be sorry to see go.
