2011 Grand Scenic 1.5 dCi – Needs Work

Large and practical 7-seater with excellent passenger space and storage. I have owned it for approximately four and a half years and know its history. It has served me well for its age and mileage. It starts and drives under its own power, but requires attention and is best suited to someone who can repair it or obtain parts and labour economically. KNOWN ITEMS REQUIRING ATTENTION: • Front wipers completely non-functional and require replacement. • Tyre tread is low; buyers should budget for four replacement tyres. • One rear brake caliper works but squeaks in reverse. My mechanic advised it was not an NCT requirement at the time, although it may need attention in future. • Timing-belt replacement due based on age and mileage. • Rear fog light not working; original wiring retained. • Condensation visible inside one rear light, which may need drying and checking for a seal or ventilation issue. • No current NCT. • A DPF warning appeared previously and was treated with fuel additives. No warning is currently displayed. The car is complete with engine, gearbox, original DPF/catalytic converter, alloy wheels, battery and full interior. It comes with the Irish VRC/logbook and two keys. Recent maintenance during my ownership includes a full clutch kit and master cylinder, alternator, starter motor, glow plugs, injector and brake loom. Last fully serviced in April 2026 at approximately 281,000 km. The car had a minor, low-speed rear impact. The boot door and rear bumper were replaced. Following this, the rear fog light stopped working, possibly due to different wiring on the replacement parts. Original wiring was retained and may require fitting. No known structural damage. Known faults are listed clearly. I am open to sensible offers after inspection, but not substantial renegotiation based on disclosed items.
