Audi RS4 (big history plus low mileage)

Deane Motors are delighted to present what is without doubt one of the great modern classics – the 2007 Audi RS4, finished in Phantom Black with the exterior chrome pack deleted around the windows for a sharper, more purposeful look. Subtle, menacing and timeless, just as a B7 RS4 should be. Originally supplied as the Isaac Agnew demo car in the north, this is a car that has clearly been cherished from day one. It comes with a fantastic, comprehensive service history and has benefitted from some very serious recent expenditure. Serviced in December at Daltons and carrying an €8,000 invoice from mid-2024 at Daltons which included KW Variant 3 coilovers, carbon clean, upper and lower arms, and rear discs, this is an RS4 where the important jobs have been done properly. It’s currently sitting on very fresh Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres and is NCT’d until January, ready to be enjoyed immediately. Period road tests of the 2007 RS4 described it as “the best all-rounder in its class” and praised its “seemingly endless grip and razor-sharp throttle response.” Another famously called it “a four-door supercar with everyday usability.” That naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 remains the star of the show – 8,250rpm, instant response, and a noise that modern turbocharged cars simply cannot replicate. On the road, this car drives really well. It genuinely can’t be faulted. The manual gearbox paired with that high-revving V8 is exactly what an RS4 should be – mechanical, engaging and alive in your hands. It’s a proper back road hero, the sort of car that shrinks around you as the pace rises, with huge quattro traction and beautifully weighted steering. The KW V3 setup gives it composure without ruining its everyday usability, striking that perfect balance between control and comfort. Inside, it is exceptionally well optioned. The desirable wingback Recaro seats hold you perfectly, complemented by the flat-bottom steering wheel that feels special every time you sit in. It features the larger screen head unit, Bose sound system, and rear door blinds, creating a cabin that still feels special nearly two decades on. The build quality is as solid as ever, and everything feels tight and correct. This is a car that has been very well looked after by previous owners, with significant money spent where it counts and no evidence of corner cutting over the car’s mere 118k km. The combination of strong history, major recent investment, tasteful presentation and the right specification makes this a very compelling example of an increasingly sought-after modern classic.
