Audi RS4 (Original Irish only 3 owners)

Some cars make you take the long way home. The B7 RS4 makes you find somewhere else to go afterwards. A naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8, six-speed manual gearbox, quattro traction and those wonderfully swollen arches. Audi was in particularly good form when it put this one together. This original Irish 2007 example is finished in superb Sprint Blue pearl effect and has covered just 85,000 miles with four owners from new. Enthusiast-owned throughout, it comes with an extensive service history and is quite possibly one of the best RS4s we’ve had through our doors. Evo described the B7 as “Still the iteration by which all others are measured”. Spend a little time behind the wheel and it’s easy to understand why. The cabin is beautifully presented, with black leather sports seats, the desirable flat-bottom steering wheel, carbon fibre inserts and Bose sound system. It still has its original head unit fitted, while a new upgraded unit accompanies the car, giving the next owner the choice. A car cover is included too. There’s plenty of substance behind the looks. In recent years the intake manifold has been cleaned and its flaps deleted, a cold air intake fitted and the car remapped, with accompanying dyno printouts showing approximately 420bhp. The original DRC suspension has also been replaced with a quality KW setup, a popular route for owners moving away from the ageing factory system. On the road, this car feels exceptionally well sorted: composed, responsive and pulling exactly as a healthy RS4 should. We’re struggling to find fault with how it drives. Its wheels have recently been refurbished, new tyres fitted and the last service was just over 3,000 miles ago. We’ll carry out a further full service before it leaves us. The bodywork, cabin and overall presentation make it clear that this has been a cherished car. It has the history to support that impression, too. Four doors, a proper boot and a V8 that gives you a very good reason to turn the radio down. Sensible enough to explain at home. Interesting enough to keep you out a little longer.
