BMW E60 M5 – Irish‑Delivered – Long‑Term Garaged – Early Collectible Example Presented for private sale is my 2006 BMW M5 (06‑D‑42453), finished in Silverstone over black leather. This is a genuine Irish‑delivered example, increasingly uncommon as most surviving E60 M5s are UK imports. Its origin avoids the VRT exposure, corrosion risk, and fragmented histories that often accompany imported cars, making it a stronger long‑term collectible candidate. The car has covered 167,990 km, the majority accumulated during a period of responsible use, including regular Dublin–Donegal motorway trips every few weeks. For approximately 18 months after purchase it served as my daily car, after which it was garaged from 2018 onward. Since then, it has been exercised only a couple of times each summer to keep all systems in motion. It has never been daily‑driven since and has been preserved with long‑term care in mind. Provenance & Preservation The condition reflects its indoor storage. Paintwork, interior, wheels, and trim remain in excellent order, and the car drives exactly as an S85‑powered M5 should. It was main‑dealer serviced up to the point of storage, with a full and traceable history. Powered by the S85 V10. Performance figures are not listed — anyone seriously considering an E60 M5 already knows exactly what this car represents. The commonly discussed “big 3” items (rod bearings, throttle actuators, clutch) have never presented symptoms, which is why they were not replaced pre‑emptively. The engine has always run cleanly, with no warning lights or drivability concerns. Now approaching 20 years old, the E60 M5 is entering the early stages of modern‑classic status. Original, unmodified, Irish‑delivered cars with long‑term indoor preservation are becoming increasingly scarce, and at this stage of the model’s life, provenance and condition matter far more than mileage alone.
