Quaife Limited Slip Differential Developed by Ford Performance, the Focus RS Edition uses a Quaife LSD on its front axle. This further improves the RS' class-leading traction. The mechanical LSD limits the engine torque delivered to a wheel that has reduction traction on the road surafce, and redistributes torques to the wheel with more traction to counteract the onset of wheel spin. By controlling the torque delivered to each front wheel, the Focus RS Edition's Quaife LSD enables drivers to more fully exploit the 350PS 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine's power in high performance driving situations, and seamlessly integrates with Focus RS driving technologies.
