I was not let down On April 24th, I had my Volkswagen Scirocco 1.4 diagnosed at S+R Motors as the check engine light was showing. The issue turned out to be most likely the timing chain. Initially, a repair date was put in prospect for August, which I found hard to accept given the evident urgency of the problem. The service assistant explained that the supply of the necessary part(s) might take that long. After S+R Motors confirmed they would mount the timing chain if I provided the necessary chain kit, I got the parts within nine days (apparently, the dealership actually faces greater problems considering the supply chain than a private consumer). Somewhat awkwardly, I managed to make an appointment with the garage for the repair only almost two weeks later, ultimately for the 29th May. Obviously, the mechanics did a good job because everything has been working in perfect order on the car ever since. As I learned from another staff member of S+R Motors, the workshop is currently extremely busy and often fully booked for months in advance. All the more, I appreciate that S+R Motors still took care of my car and hope they will continue to welcome me as a customer in the future.
