Car was bought because it was the only car with side airbags in the price / reliability range. To enhance its reliability, we took advice and then put lots of new parts into it when taking over ownership of the car. The speedometer failed and replacement one sadly added 41,000kms to the total. At restoration date summer 2024, these items were fitted new: New suspensions by Sachs, new front and rear axles, new clutch, new clutch slave cylinder, new brakes discs and new brake calipers, new brake lines, new pads, and fully serviced it every 6 months when car was in use, long before it was ever due. 2nd last service we changed all the 8 spark plugs for new iriduum spark plugs. We needed the car to be very reliable, and no cost was spared in her upkeep. Car has been rust protected underneath. Car has a fresh NCT to November 2026.
