I get a lot of messages asking why it isn’t €700/€800? When the tax band changed in 2008 it went from rates of engine size to rates of carbon emissions produced. Our government have decided somehow that a 2.0 petrol AUTOMATIC crv gives off €460 more worth of emissions than a 2.0 petrol MANUAL crv which is €790 per year. If you want cheaper tax in a petrol crv you’re going to need to go under 2009 or buy a manual in 2009 onwards or just save an extra €8 per week and pay the higher tax 😅….but if you’re looking for trouble free motoring then this is the car for you.
