Picked up a beautiful Kia Sportage off Fran in Cammia Motors. I put the deposit in on a Saturday and it was serviced, valeted and ready to go by Wednesday. Great experience dealing with the lads and delighted with the new car.

I visited Cammia motors to test drive a BMW that I had seen online. I didn't end up buying it, but, knowing my budget, Fran suggested I look at a Merc C350e that had just come onto the lot. I loved it. I decided to put a deposit down. The next day, my Father in Law asked me if I had asked Fran about the battery, as this was a hybrid car and the batteries are very expensive to replace. They also have a shelf life (as all batteries do), and once they are end of life, the car will not function. To my surprise, after approaching a Merc service garage, I discovered that replacement hybrid batteries on that car cost 10K before installation costs, and are also extremely difficult to get currently. When I checked with Fran about how old the battery was, I learned that it had not been replaced since the car was bought new, and was quite a bit past the date by which Mercedes guarantee them, and that technically they regarded it as end of life. The car itself seemed absolutely fine, and there were no warning lights or anything like that that came up upon starting. That said, I was not comfortable buying a car that might end up costing me another 10K at some indeterminable point in the future. When speaking to Fran, he admitted that since the car was so recent on the lot (it had only been there 2 days), he hadn't thought about the issue of the battery when he was selling it to me. If he had, I believe he would have mentioned it and he did recognize that this put me in a bit of a precarious position. Car deposits are normally non refundable. In this case however, I asked Fran if he would consider refunding my deposit, seeing as we both had not considered the issue of the battery. He told me that he would put me on to Jon, the owner. When I spoke to Jon, he was very understanding and considerate. Given that he knew the car might be well beyond my budget if the battery were to fail, he refunded my deposit, without any quibble. It is important here to understand that in any normal scenario there is no onus on the dealership to do this (and anyone reading this review should not necessarily expect a similar outcome for themselves), but Jon recognized that this was a unique situation, and decided to do the right thing for me, the customer. As a result, I was very impressed with Jon and Fran's care and interest for my positive customer experience. I would happily recommend them as an honest and reputable dealer and wish them the best in the future!

As a first time driver, I had my reservations about who to buy a car from. - However Fran at Cammia motors put my mind at ease. The entire buying experience from the initial contact with Cammia Motors, to the test drive all the way to the final decision making was all excellent.
