2005 Mazda RX-8 1.3 192 PS – 5-speed manual – Project / Non-runner Selling my 2005 Mazda RX-8 1.3 192 PS manual as a project. I’ve owned it as a project and have put quite a bit of time and money into getting it back running. It is currently a non-runner, so it will need to be collected/towed. The engine turns over strongly and has actually fired on a number of occasions, including briefly starting and running for a second and firing repeatedly while being towed, but I haven’t got it fully running. Selling as-is. Work/parts already done: * New Varta 70Ah 630A battery * New 2kW high-torque geared starter motor * New NGK spark plugs * New HT leads * New ignition coils * New eccentric shaft sensor (ESS) * Oil and oil filter changed * Fuel drained/renewed * Redex fuel treatment added * ATF rotary chamber treatment carried out * Spark plug holes/chambers checked and excess ATF cleared * Aftermarket intake included * Various original/removed parts included (spoiler, door card, etc) Also included: * Brand-new brake discs and pads, not yet fitted * Other spare parts that came with the car/project The car currently cranks very strongly with the new starter and battery and is getting fuel/ignition. It has fired several times and produced combustion, but won’t stay running. It would suit someone who knows rotaries or wants an RX-8 project. Body does have the usual age-related issues, including rust (significant in parts) around the rear arches/sill areas and some rusty underside/pinch-weld areas. It’s a project/non-runner and is being sold as such. Ideal for someone looking for an RX-8 project, breaker/parts car, or someone who knows their way around the Renesis and wants to finish what I’ve started. Collection/tow required Looking for €1500 ONO
