It's been 2 years since my dismal review of Harmonstown Motors not being the same as when Albert senior was the main man. I complained that it was not a Ford dealer anymore and not sure if I would get a service there. Anyway, I was challenged by Harmonstown to try them for my next service. That was two years ago. Since then especially in the last 3 months, my Cmax was feeling below par, and my dash became a flashing Christmas decoration with loads of messages it was like Kit from Knight rider but with lights on the inside flashing and not much talk. Anyway, I went to a fantastic brilliant genius of a mechanic who was a car whisperer, so I was told. I booked in and arrived at the garage, and I knew this was the wrong place to be, but I was committed, and it had to be fixed. He did get it fixed, but a new noise appeared, and it was not a good noise. I had to book it in again as he was busy again. After a week, another light came on saying my tyre sensors were not working, and as I had my car booked in to fix noise, I asked the amazing mechanic to replace them. Finally got noise fixed. Apparently, it was a fan belt and tensioner both replaced as where tyre sensors.. The next day, yes, another noise this time, a loud metallic noise came from one of the wheels that had the sensor replaced. I went back yet again but was met with anger and told it was nothing to do with him, and I would have e to book it in again. Frustrated I left as my mother had just died the day before, and I had to travel. I went to Atlas, and they found the problem the precious mechanic left the old sensor in the tyre, hence the metal noise sensor hitting wheel rim. On the way back from the country after my mum's funeral half way home I started to loose power and dash lit up yet again I thought this is it I have to get rid of it and buy a car to replace it something I could I'll afford. My wife suggested a Ford dealer and she said ring Harmonstown. They gave ne a booking a week away. I said I couldn't due to bereavement, and they pulled out the stops and got me in the next day for a full service and updates. I dropped the car in the following day and 3 hrs later, and I got a call. Think the worst Brian said my car would be ready at 4. I could not believe it. He did all the updates, found 9 old issues, and cleared them as he rechecked them. He said the diesel filter may have been the issue as it had not been changed in a very long time event though it was serviced regularly. I collected my car it was washed and alloy wheels got a special light acid treatment, and it looked amazing. It is 3 weeks now and I love my car and its going better than ever before. Albert Junior was there, and like his Dad, he could talk forever and he explained what he does not sell Ford Cars and a Ford dealer but retains the service franchise. Seriously, getting something done cheap is false economy, a single mechanic in a dark warehouse unit with rubbish and paperwork should be a sign to runaway or even a Ford Dealership who has other dealerships operating ftom the same huge garage is too big for its own good and thinks Fords are the poor relation of their other brands BMW Porshe MINI VW and now KIA. They too loose the personal touch apparently a Ford owner is beneath them. But not Harmonstown it has a real personal touch from everyone, and nothing is a problem. I am a Ford man all my life, and now I'm back at the Harmonstown family. I bought 3 cars from them, as did my late father and mother al from Albert senior. I will try and buy my next one from Harmonstown if not I will always get my cars serviced there. Cheap is cheap but value for money and customer care is priceless.

I have been a customer of Harmonstown motors for over 35 years. The service is always excellent friendly and helpful and the workmanship is first class. I highly recommend this garage.
