Nissan X-Trail 2009

Bought in 2024 from a local mechanic. Previous owner had driven over something that damaged the sump causing the oil to empty out of the car so engine seized. New engine put in her in 2023 - working perfectly until recently when engine started knocking. New second hand engine had 150,000 when put in. Car failed recent NCT on minor things - bulb, CV boot was replaced but mechanic forgot to secure it so that was a fail also. Not sure of the cause of knocking sounds - could be injectors, timing chain or could be engine itself. The check engine light is not on the dash so it isn't currently reading any faults.
