Opel Astra 1.4 Petrol Automatic 1999

I have owned this car since September 2007 and there was one previous owner. The bodywork is excellent considering it is a 1999 car. I have enjoyed cleaning and polishing it over the years. There is some damage to the bumpers which can be seen in the pictures, and the driver's mirror has some damage. Four tyres are excellent and fairly new. I have a large history file of documents relating to the car. ***However the car needs mechanical attention***. The main problem right now is that there is a problem with bolting the lower rear left shock absorber to the subframe - there is some damage to the bolt/subframe threads - consequently the shock absorber is loose. There are some other mechanical issues which I can detail over the phone. I was going to scrap the car, but since the bodywork is so good, it seems a pity to do that. I'm hoping that someone may be able to sort it out - someone with mechanical ability and interest in keeping an old car on the road. However if it is not sold within one or two weeks, I will probably go ahead and send it to the scrapyard.
