This 1998 Porsche Boxster 2.5 is an original Irish-supplied car showing just 97,000 miles and it presents exceptionally well for its age. The car was taken in as a trade-in and, having spent some time with it, we have to say it genuinely drives far better than we expected. It feels tight, responsive and exactly how a lightweight mid-engined Porsche should feel. The car has had paintwork previously which still presents very well today. Being a 28-year-old car there are a few small age-related marks as you would expect, but overall the car is extremely honest and importantly there is no rust present. Mechanically the car has received a number of recent improvements and maintenance items. It sits on a new set of Michelin tyres and has recently had front brake discs fitted. The rear suspension has been upgraded with Bilstein shocks, while the engine has had six new coil packs and spark plugs installed. The car has also had a full service carried out and it runs and performs exactly as it should. The engine pulls strongly, the 5-speed gearbox is smooth and precise, and overall the car feels sorted and ready to be enjoyed. The car features an electric soft top and the rear plastic window in the roof has recently been replaced. It also comes with a factory hard top, which is a fantastic bonus and something that is becoming increasingly desirable with these early cars. Inside, the car benefits from a newly fitted alarm system as well as a modern radio with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to enjoy the car while still having some modern convenience. This is an original Irish car and it comes with its original book pack containing a good service history with stamped service book. Cosmetically the car presents very well and gets attention wherever it goes. The early 2.5 Boxsters have a purity to the driving experience that later cars lost as they became heavier and more complex, and this one is a brilliant example of that. Given its condition, how well it drives and the overall package on offer, we genuinely believe this represents one of the best cars on the market at this price point.
