Bought a Jaguar XF from David about 9 months ago, at Frist he came across as genuine. When he sold me the car he told me there was an issue with the infotainment system and that is was stuck in valet mode as he had replaced the old one to fix it. He had the supposed old infotainment sitting in the car at the time and told me he needed a code from jaguar to get the new one up and running and would contact me as soon as he had it. I foolishly thought nothing off it and trusted him. I tried to contact him twice with no answer or reply. I decided to diagnose the problem myself and straight away realised the infotainment system that had been sitting in the car he claimed to be the old one, that he replaced was not even similar to the one in the car when it was actually taken out. Luckily for me I was able to figure out the problem which had nothing to do with the infotainment system and was actually a fibre optic loop that goes around the car something I would have knowledge of because of my job but most people wouldn't. I found this so frustrating and dishonest especially that he pretended to swap out the old system. On top of this a month later I had another issue with the EGR cooler on the car. he also told me that the car had a timing chain that didn't need to be changed. The car had a timing belt, and had it been a chain on this model of car it would have been even more important to change it. Couldn't rate this dealership worse. I am now looking for a new car again unfortunately and came across fonthill cars on donedeal and when I seen how positive the reviews were I needed to let people know how bad my experience was
