Toyota Yaris 1.3: New NCT | Full History According to my mechanic the 1.3 litre dual VVTi (4 cylinder engine) is more durable and reliable. The 1.0 litre is only a (3 cylinder engine) and not as robust or reliable. It's actually slightly more fuel efficient than the 1.0 version and also far better for motorway driving due to the more powerful engine and six speed gearbox. NCT AUGUST 2026 (13 Months), just passed today. FASTIDIOUS OWNER: This Yaris is in excellent condition throughout and has always been very well maintained. TOYOTA RELIABILITY: It never gave any cause for concern. In a nutshell it has been nothing less than the uber reliable. I have absolutely no objection whatsoever any mechanical inspection. IN BRIEF: It would be hard to surpass it in terms of the low mileage and the overall condition at the price level.
