Bought a Golf GTI from Joe Duffy North in December 22, there was a bit of a scratch on the back of the car before purchasing which they offered to fix, they collected the car and dropped it back all within 2 days, would highly recommend Jason and Thomas who made the process of purchasing very easy.

"I had a truly horrific experience at Joe Duffy Volkswagen in North Dublin. I purchased a brand new VW Polo DSG. When it had only 5k kms the clutch failed. As per my rights under Irish consumer law, the warranty covered the replacement of the clutch. However, upon returning the car, I was shocked to find that the bolts were left loose in the driveshaft, which caused further damage and tore off the side of the gearbox. Given the extensive damage to the car, I requested a trade-in for a new car as I was worried it would cause future problems. However, Joe Duffy Volkswagen refused to comply with my request and instead repaired the car. Upon returning the car, it was dirty and had 0 kms range left in the tank, which I found unacceptable. 25k kms later, the gearbox failed again, and I was horrified to find that Joe Duffy Volkswagen refused to cover any of the cost to repair, even though the car was out of warranty. This was in violation of my rights under Irish consumer law, which requires that products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and last a reasonable length of time. The staff at Joe Duffy Volkswagen was extremely rude and unhelpful throughout the entire process, which only added to my frustration. I eventually traded the car in for a Hyundai and have never looked back. I would highly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Joe Duffy Volkswagen to think twice, as their disregard for customer satisfaction and blatant disregard for Irish consumer law is unacceptable

Very poor after sales experience in Joe Duffy Volkswagen (North Dublin). Whenever I was bringing the car for a service during the last years, still under warranty, I had to be very careful. They changed some parts (brake fluid and some filter) on two consecutive services, when they were saying that should be replaced every 24 months. Fortunately I checked the previous service invoice and discovered that. Anyway, it is hard to believe that was just an error as they had the file with what was replaced 12 months ago. Now my car was showing an alert that is all over the internet and is known that Volkswagen knows about it. Nevertheless, when I asked them about this error several times, the only answer I got was “you have to bring it for a diagnosis check”. And, of course, not letting you know that this check cost is 170€. When I picked up the car they were bringing me the key without the key ring I had; when I asked about it, nobody knew anything. Finally they said “it is on the car”. And yes, was there… broke apart in 3 different pieces. Not a big deal, just a key ring, but still waiting for their apology and/or acknowledgment. I called yesterday to another Volkswagen branch and they told me straight away over the phone what was the issue, and most important, that is an alert that is not posing any risk to the car. I raised all these issues up to the service manager but he found that “disrespectful” from my side (even though the email did not include any disrespect from my side, capitals, etc.). And, of course, not apology and/or acknowledgment of anything from his side. I would highly recommend to go somewhere else if you want to buy a car or need to service/repair it. I definitely will
