Volvo Service. Was recommended by a friend who has his X5 serviced here. Extremely impressed. Very friendly reception. I had an interim service booked for my V40. Before the service started, it was explained what work was going to be carried out and they would not carry out any other work required without my pre approval. The cost of the service was confirmed as the cost at the time of booking. Very comfortable waiting area, tea, coffee etc. Magazines and TV. The car was ready on time and they gave it a great wash. Far from other garages they told me the car was perfect. No parts or repairs required. Fantastic. No up sell, no parts replaced that it did not need. The level of service was far more than I expected. Everything, suspension, brakes, fluids (high quality synthetic oil) Diagnostics, software update and logged onto volvo database. Also diesel treatment carried out. I do have some knowledge of cars being an enthusiast for 30 years. I have had nothing but bad experiences with volvo main dealer. Terrible service, work that was not required at a massively inflated price. Cunningham autopoint are leaps ahead of them. I am now a guaranteed client of Autopoint Galway. A family member recently purchased a used Audi A6 here. Sales process (Kevin) was efficient and nonsense free. After the purchase was completed the car was prepared as requested and on time. Car had to go back for 2 minor items which is not unusual for a second hand car, but how a garage deals with warranty issues is hugely telling on their business model and quality of their after-sales service. The service manager (Patrick) dealt with both requests in a very timely manner instilling confidence in our decision to purchase a car here. Based on our experience to-date, I'd have no problem recommending here for a car purchase.
