Overview
Description
Christie Hennessy's first L.P. often referred to as The Green Album, released in 1973, on the little known Westwood Record label. Only 500 copies were ever pressed making this one one of the rarest albums ever recorded by an Irish artist, who went on decades later to find international success. With very little publicity or promotion, the album went almost unnoticed and Christie returned to working on the building sites in London. It wasn't until 1992, with the release of his breakthrough album, The Rehearsal, that Christie obtained his long overdue recognition as a singer and songwriter. The Green Album features Christie on vocals and guitar, backed by Anthony Griffiths on guitar, fiddle, mandolin and vocals; Paul Darby, guitar, tin whistle and vocals; and Tony Kane, Jews Harp. The L.P. is in excellent condition and is signed on the back cover at the top: Good Luck Christie Hennessy. Very rarely does this L.P. come on to the market. Hence, 275 euro. Insured Post with tracking included.
