Cavanaghs of Charleville has a long and proud tradition in the motoring business in Munster. Set up in 1967 by Tom Cavanagh along with dealerships in Fermoy and Cork, the Charleville branch was taken over by current Dealer Principal, Martin Condon, in 1987. Martin and his team built up the business steadily adding the Hyundai franchise to the existing Ford business towards the end of the nineties. The business now comprises two showrooms, a 14-bay service department, state of the art bodyshop and over 2 acres of used cars on display. Cavanaghs of Charleville is now recognised as one of the best-run dealerships in the country as evidenced by its award in November 2010 from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry: SIMI Franchise Dealer of the year 2010-11. The Ford Dealership's commitment to customer service has resulted in the company being awarded the prestigious Ford Chairman's Award for Excellence in Customer Care no fewer than 7 years in a row - a feat no other Ford Dealer can claim.

Car was booked in for a service and warranty work related to radio reception. A replacement car was ready for me when I dropped mine off. I was contacted by telephone advising of status of car and when it would be ready. When I collected the car it had been washed and was ready for me. After driving it for the last few days I can say that the Radio reception is much better. A great service, keep it up 👍

I recently had to have new brake pads and discs fitted. I had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. When I rang to make the appointment, the car was booked in within minutes. I was greeted really positively when I dropped it off. It was explained to me what had to be done and how long it would take. I then received a text to say the car was ready. The whole experience was seemless, the team were professional and I can highly recommend Cavanaghs of Charleville. I will be using them again. Thank you.

Bought a second hand Kuga. From easy navigation through their website, identifying a couple of cars, telephone conversations, test drive, purchase, after sales service, I couldn't fault this garage. NCT was out and they sorted that for me at no extra cost. Shane was exceptional to deal with and made the entire process very easy. The garage went above and beyond for any after sales service and that isn't that common these days. Will definitely be purchasing here again. Paul

I should have put my thoughts on here in July 2025 when I bought my Ford Kuga. I struggled for some time to choose a car to look for. At the start of 2025 I had seen a few cars but nothing stood out. By spring I was definitely looking for a Kuga and saying next year I'd buy. May & June i visited a few garages in Kerry, limerick and Waterford looking at kugas. The hunger for a new car grew. I knew what i wanted  and the trim levels and spec. But... each garage had different prices and deals or no deal. From the moment I phoned Cavanaghs of Charleville and spoke to Joe O Flaherty I knew where I was off to.. to do a deal. I explained my story of what I wanted in the car and what I expected. I headed to limerick to view one, it just wasn't right for me. Said Id head down the road to Charleville for a look. I got my info mixed up, the car was in mallow. But I got to meet Joe and leant more about the fine details of the sale. Off down the road to Mallow, test drove the car... knew straight away I wanted it. Platinum White... which is kinda pearl white to us normal people. A few more phone calls and having to ask how do I pay for such a car. It was a learning experience as to how to move money from my bank account to the garage. My last car i just tapped my bank link card. I just the fear of something going wrong. But it was all perfectly fine and organised. Paper work was straight forward. I decided to choose to get the car serviced with them in the future and that too incorporated into the deal was a huge gift.  Office was tidy, clean and professional. You could just feel the welcome when you arrive in and know its genuine. Delighted I took the chance to make the original call, they are an hour & a half away from where I live but the customer service and the deal in buying the car certainly makes it a short distance and when a service is due I now plan to stay next door in the Park Hotel. When you shop around you see the difference and I can say with hand on my heart theres a big difference here with the deal, the welcome, and the satisfaction of being respected as a customer.
