Beswick England Hamlet Character Tankard No. 1147 (c.1940s–1950s) Original Beswick pottery character tankard featuring Hamlet holding a sword, with the famous inscription "To Be Or Not To Be" around the base. Produced by Beswick England and dating approximately from the 1940s to early 1950s. Beautiful hand-painted relief decoration with rich colours and detailed moulding. Condition: Displays well but has an old repair to the handle and age-related crazing to the glaze, as shown in the photos. Priced accordingly. Height: Approx. 10 cm A lovely piece of vintage Beswick pottery and an interesting addition to any Shakespeare, theatre, or Beswick collection.
