1960s Bossons 'Pathan' Chalkware Wall Plaque

A genuine, vintage Bossons "Pathan" chalkware character wall plaque, originally sculpted by Fred Wright and manufactured by W. H. Bossons Ltd. in Congleton, Cheshire, England. This iconic piece was first released in 1967 and depicts a Pashtun/Afghan warrior in traditional attire. 100% original factory paint. It has not been repaired, touched up, or repainted, meaning the highly detailed embossing on the shield (featuring the ceremonial elephants) remains beautifully crisp and sharp. Displays minor, authentic paint flecks and tiny chips on the plaster edges (visible on the top rim of the shield and centre boss), which is completely standard for fragile chalkware of this era. Fully incised on the reverse with the official factory mark: "BOSSONS ENGLAND - WORLD COPYRIGHT RESERVED". The back retains its original reddish coat. See pictures for condition.
